About Me
My name is Emma Sim and I'm a 14 year old Sydney high school student and a, mainly, self taught artist.

Since I was young, I have been constantly drawing and sketching on any accessible surface; my school book where every margins were brimming with doodles, and sketchbooks were often filled within days.

The 2020 COVID-19 lockdown brought to me more time for me to improve on my artworks, and my dad bought an iPad Pro for me to use. I took to it like a fish to water, and spent countless hours churning out hundreds and hundreds of drawings in Procreate (which now takes up 141 GB and counting!).

During Year 9, I discovered the cheap Kmart sketchbook which is my trusty companion today- a $5, 160 paged book perfect for storing my characters, story ideas and doodles. I can spend hours drawing whatever comes to mind, filling the pages with the ideas that pops into my head.

I have a strong passion not only for visual arts, but also graphic design. My current electives are Visual Arts, Visual Design and Commerce, coming first in Visual Design in 2023 and having high achievements in Visual Arts.

Ever since young, I have been a big fan of animation and art, finding a home in the stories on the screen. The vibrant casts and colourful worlds brought to me new ideas and inspirations, with my dad introducing me to the ongoing, long running anime 'One Piece' by Eiichiro Oda which is still a big part of my life today.

Growing up adoring the worlds within the screen, I have wanted to create something similar for years, igniting my passion for creating and storywriting.
